    Thanksgiving

When I lived in Winnipeg, my roommates had a rule that at Thanksgiving, we went around the table and everyone had to say at least one thing that they were thankful for. I think that a lot of people find this a bit cheezy, but to be honest, it was nice to acknowledge the people and things in your life that you might not always specifically point out.

So, as Thanksgiving approaches, I am thankful for:

    • my family
    • my wonderful boyfriend (I like to say partner because it's more than boyfriend/girlfriend but he says that makes people think that you're in a same-sex relationship)
    • supporting and caring friends, some despite distances
    • the lessons I have learned
    • the opportunity to make mistakes and the ability to learn from them
    • the friendship that is being built between my sister and I
    • the fact that I have a job, a house, a car even if they're not always perfect
    • my health
    • my experiences
    • and many many more things, but those are the highlights!
